The British Library and Google to make 250, 000 books available to all

The British Library recently announced a new partnership with Google to digitise 250,000 collection items under the Google Books programme.  The project will digitise a huge range of out-of-copyright printed books, pamphlets and periodicals from the period 1700 -1870.
